FM

Back before WPKN was on 24/7 and I used to do a morning show, I would sign the station on for the day. This song is one of my favorite broadcast day openers.

For serious Dan fans, here are two vintage videos of the original lineup. David Palmer rocks out on tambourine on "Reelin' in the Years" and sings lead on "Do It Again" (check out Skunk on the congas).

If you're wondering what ever happened to Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, Pete Blackwell at (parenthetical remarks) reports that
It turns out that the former Steely Dan and Doobie Brothers ax man is a consultant to the U.S. government on missile defense and terrorist tactics.
Apparently he's also reelin' in the dough, making more as a defense consultant than he ever did in show biz. He hasn't forgotten music, though. According to Wikipedia,

He also occasionally plays in The Coalition of the Willing, a band comprised of Andras Simonyi, Hungarian Ambassador to the United States; Alexander Vershbow, US Ambassador to South Korea; Daniel B. Poneman, formerly of the United States National Security Council and now of The Scowcroft Group; and Lincoln Bloomfield, former United States Assistant Secretary of State for Political Military Affairs.
