I’m not a DJ

I'm not a commercial radio DJ whose job it is to provide banter and personality. I'm not a party or club DJ who mixes dance music. I'm a programmer who selects and sequences music for a meaningful and hopefully intelligent listening experience. I hope I succeed, and I hope you know the difference. 

When I started at WPKN, then-GM Harry Minot told me, “At WPKN you have the right to be anything but banal.” My prime directive has always been Do Good Radio. What that means is different for everyone, but you know it when you hear it.
