Michael Jackson

He was a freak show, and possibly something much worse, but tonight it's the music I remember. From elementary school through college, from "I'll Be There" to "Billie Jean," his music was part of the soundtrack of my life.

Rest in peace.

Mayhem in Iran

I haven't posted anything about the violence in Iran following the election, although I've been retweeting some dispatches from inside Iran. JammieWearingFool has a good post today about the situation. Some of the descriptions I've seen on Twitter are far more gruesome than what he describes.

LiveNation & Aramark: sticking it to the customer one show at a time

Really?!?
Jones Beach: $6.50 for a bottle of water.
Great Woods: $6.00 for a bottle of water.
Really?!?

The same bottle of water that goes for $1 outside the venue. WTF?

LiveNation and Aramark should eat a bag of dicks.

UPDATE: I wrote to both companies asking for an explanation. If either or both write back, I'll post it.

UPDATE: Welcome, Aramark readers! I see you've discovered my blog. Would you care to explain why LiveNation allows your company to charge $6.50 for a bottle of water that retails for $1 outside the venue?
